Chapter 1 The Chapter Where Our Heroes Return to Hogwarts and They Find Out Some Exciting News!

During the summer, Kendall, Mia, Chloe, Zoe, and Ajax always went over to each other's homes to have Harry Potter movie marathons. This year, however, they all did their homework together.

"Why are they doing their homework? You just said it was summer!" you, mysterious audience member, asks the author (me).

"Well," I answer, "they are all witches and they all go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Sienna Black, and a bunch of other characters in J. K. Rowling's wonderful world of Harry Potter!"

Then you would slap me in the back of my head with a fully cooked ham (you know the ones you get for Christmas and stuff? Yeah, it has the sauce on it and everything, so the back of my head is all sauce-like and sticky. It hurts. A lot.)

"Weirdo!" you would shout and you would click the 'x' at the upper right hand corner.

I would say, "Man, you're missing out!"

I will now continue with the story.

So Mia, Chloe, Zoe, Ajax, and Kendall are all doing their homework together at Denny's at 4 in the morning (a.m if you want to be specific).
"Hey, Ajax," said Kendall. "What did you get for number 16 on the Charms worksheet?"

"You know the answer!" said Ajax. "Why do you have to bug me all the time?"

Kendall looked at the worksheet again. "Oh, right."

"Wait," said Mia. "there is no number 16 on the Charms homework!"

"Oh my Godric! What homework am I doing then?" said Kendall with a worried expression on her face.

Zoe looked over and laughed. "That's Potions."

"Oh." said Kendall as she started to erase her answers.

"You ladies want coffee or anything?" said a waitress who just walked over.

"We'll take 20 cups, please." said Kendall. The waitress looked at her funny but shrugged and walked off.

"Twenty cups, Kendall? Really?" asked Chloe.

"Hey, there's free refills up to 2 times, so that's technically 40 cups of coffee!" Kendall said leaning back in her seat.

Her friends agreed this was a good buy. They promised each other they were going to finish their homework early so they could go shopping later...Muggle shopping. They all got their Hogwarts letters a couple of days ago and they required dress robes for the year. Since it was summer, there were still some prom dresses on clearance, and they all wanted to go and check them out before they were all gone.

The waitress came back with a cart full of nothing but coffee.

"Thanks!" said Kendall as she handed her a twenty dollar bill. "We'll be here for a while."

They were all indeed there for a while...5 hours to be exact. It wasn't until 9:00 (A.M.) until they left Denny's when it was starting to get crowded with people coming in for breakfast.

They first headed over to Macy's, where Mia and Chloe found their dresses. They next went into the mall and headed towards Nordstrom and Zoe, Kendall, and Ajax found their dresses. After a quick stop to Olga's, they all headed back to their apartment.

"Why do they have an apartment?" another reader asks.

Well, after they came home from their first year of Hogwarts, their parents thought they all had gone crazy since they told their parents they had went to Hogwarts and that they were witches. All agreeing with one another, they all disowned our heroes, made a special bank account where they put all of the girl's college funds, and chucked them into a mental hospital. All the girls got out easily (the locks on the doors didn't work as well as they should) and combined their college funds to put towards getting an apartment. They did get a condo and there was still a whole lot of money left for food and other things. Chloe slipped into her house one night and stole her family's Wii and Kendall went in her house to get all her family's Wii games. All the girls combined their Wii games and sold the duplicates (because, really, who needs more than 1 MarioKart?). All the girls slipped into their rooms in the night and grabbed anything they could sell. Pretty soon, they had enough money to pay off their condo and agreed that Mia should get the condo when they come of age.

The girls all made it into their apartments, put away their purchases (they had jewelry, shoes, and clutches, too), ate their dinner, and went to bed, ready to board the Hogwarts Express the very next day.

The next day, the girls took a portkey to King's Cross Station. There, they saw Platform 9 and Platform 10. Each girl ran through the barrier and they instantly were transported to Platform 9 3/4.

"Oh, Zoe!" said a bushy, brown haired girl.

"Hey, Hermione!" the girls squealed as they gave Hermione a big hug.

"How were your summers?" Hermione asked.

A mixed reply came from the girls, all ranging from "Great!" to "Alright."

"How was your summer, Hermione?" asked Chloe.

"Oh, it was wonderful!" said Hermione. "Harry, Sienna, and I all went with the Weasley's to the Quidditch World Cup. Mr. Weasley couldn't get any more tickets, sorry if that's all Ron, Harry, and Sienna all talk about." Hermione smiled apologetically.

"Hey, no problem." said Ajax.

"It doesn't sound like it was all fun after the match." said Mia, referring to the attack on the Muggles. (they ordered the Daily Prophet by owl every morning)

"Oh, it wasn't." Hermione said. "It was awful."

Hermione started to talk about what had happened when Sienna walked past. She looked completely different. No longer did she have her I-hate-the-world clothes on (mostly black and red) she had a Cat In the Hat graphic tee and red skinny jeans with worn down black Converse.

Hermione stopped talking and said in a whisper to the girls, "She's completely changed over the summer, it's crazy."

"Do you think her dad told her to stop wearing such depressing clothes?" asked Zoe, who was still staring at Sienna.

"No." said Hermione. "She told us she got a really, really long letter from him when she got home. She told us it answered all her questions and a few basic things he wanted her to know like what she could wear, that he doesn't care if she uses bad language, and she even got the Talk during that letter."

"Eww!" chorused the girls.

"Any way, she's a lot...happier than years before, I know that." said Hermione. "I think it's because she knows now that her dad isn't some murderer who killed a bunch of random people."

"That, and maybe something else." said Kendall. "Look at her now."

All the girls turned their heads to find that Sienna was snogging Fred Weasley.

"Cute!" squealed all the girls.

"I guess he was making her happy, too." admitted Hermione.

All the girls climbed aboard the Hogwarts Express, still smiling to themselves as they thought about Fred and Sienna. They found their way to their usual compartment, and they found Harry and Ron already in there.

"Hi guys!" said Mia. All the girls made a promise to the Quartet that they wouldn't freak out if they saw someone that they knew a lot of facts about. They did that a lot last year.

"Hey." replied the guys.

"Hey listen-" started Ron.

"It's okay." said Chloe.

"We know you couldn't get anymore tickets for the Quidditch World Cup." said Mia.

"It's completely okay."said Ajax.

"We aren't really into Quidditch that much anyway." said Zoe.

"Okay." sighed Ron. He looked like a really big weight was lifted off. "Who told you?"

"Hermione." said Kendall. "But you'll never believe what we saw outside."

But just before Kendall could say anything, Sienna slipped the compartment door open, sighed (you know the sigh people make when they are in love? Yeah, that sigh.), and sat down on Hermione's lap.

"Are you okay, Sienna?" asked Harry.

"Oh-*sighs*-I'm just wonderful." she said twirling Hermione's hair. Hermione looked very uncomfortable (I mean, who wouldn't?).

"We saw you snogging Fred Weasley out there." said Kendall with a smug look on her face. Her friends all sighed, leave it to Kendall to blab about something completely personal like that.

Surprisingly, Sienna giggled and said, "Yeah, and it was magical." She got up and took the remaining seat by the compartment door.

Everyone stared at her for a while before Chloe tried to fill the awkward moment asking about the Quidditch match, which entertained the boys by telling them. Hermione, since she was there, didn't want to relive the moment when Viktor Krum got the Snitch, so she got out A Standard Book of Spells: Grade Four and began to try to learn a Summoning Charm.

Once the train pulled into Hogsmede Station, everyone got off to proceed to the carriages that would take them to Hogwarts.

"Firs' Years, this way!" called Hagrid, the Gamekeeper. "Alrigh' you-" he paused to count, " nine?" he asked awkwardly.

"It's alright, Hagrid," said Mia, "you don't have to include us. We're always fine." That somewhat comforted him a little bit.

As the nine made it to the carriage, they heard, "Oy! Sienna! Over here!"

"Coming!" Sienna said as she made her way towards the voice that was Fred Weasley's.

"Git." said Ron, pulling the carriage door closed after they all piled in.

"There's going to be a lot of that this year." said Zoe. "Think you've been annoyed this whole time, there's more to come, my friends." Harry, Ron, and Hermione groaned.

"Ha. Just wait until you guys fall in love. Then we'll see who's groaning." said Chloe.

The carriage continued to pull everyone until they reached the castle and got out. Then, they all made their way to the Great Hall and sat at the Gryffindor table (Ajax made her way to the Slytherin table).

After everyone came in, the first years stumbled in and were sorted. After the first years were sorted, Professor Dumbledore stood up and opened his arms in welcome.

"I only have two words to say to you," he told them, his deep voice echoing throughout the vast Great Hall. "Tuck in."

"Hear, hear!" exclaimed Harry and Ron as food began to appear on the golden plates.

As the feast went on, Hermione was making a big deal about house-elves making the food, but Chloe and her friends weren't listening, they were too busy gaping at Sienna and Fred, who were snogging, of course.

"Aren't you going to eat?" asked Zoe.

"Oh, right." said Fred breaking off their deeply passionate kiss and looking in Sienna's eyes. They each took a bite of something completely random on their plate, chewed, and continued to kiss.

"Okay, this is nice and all," said Chloe, "but I'm moving to Harry and Ron's side."

"Agreed." said all the girls taking their plates and moving towards the other side of the table.

Hermione, just realizing what they did, asked, "Why did you guys do that?" But the girls just pointed to exhibit A, and Ron, Harry, and Hermione stared at Sienna and Fred. Ron mimicked barfing which made everyone laugh.

After desert was served, Dumbledore stood up again and said, "I would like to make a few announcements before you all retire to your warm beds for the night. It is my painful duty to inform you that the Inter-House Quidditch Cup will not take place this year."

"What?" yelled Harry and a bunch of other Quidditch members started to complain, too. Fred and Sienna even broke off their kiss to hear what they thought they just heard. (A/N Sienna is a Chaser on the Gryffindor Quidditch team)

"This is due to an event that will start in October and continue throughout the school year, taking up much of the teacher's time and energy-but I'm sure you will all enjoy it immensely." continued Dumbledore over all the complaints. "I have great pleasure announcing that this year at Hogwarts, we will be hosting a legendary event, the Triwizard Tournament."

The whole room gasped.

(A/N You better like this chapter 'cause I spent 2 hours on it for about 5 minutes of reading. *smirks* You don't have to like it if you don't want to.)
